Study of sweet drinks

According to a recent study, regularly drinking soda increases the risk of dying from a variety of causes. The study surveyed more than 450,000 people in 10 European countries from 1992 to 2000.

The study discovered that people who drank two or more glasses of soda per day had a higher risk of dying from specific diseases than those who drank less than one glass per day. Artificially sweetened soda was linked to more circulatory diseases, while sugar-sweetened soda was linked to more digestive diseases. Also, drinking any soda excessively was linked to Parkinson’s disease.

The results were the same whether the person was thin, overweight, smoked, or did not smoke cigarettes, according to researchers, who claimed that drinking a lot of soda indicates an unhealthy lifestyle.
