Flossie is the world’s oldest cat; born in 1995, she is an impressive 27-years-old and now a Guinness World Record holder.
Flossie had been living with other stray cats near Merseyside Hospital in the UK. One of the owners took pity on the kitten, and she took the cat in. 10 years later, the owner died, and a family member cared for her instead; she spent another 14 years with the second owner.
Eventually, Flossie outlived her second owner too, and cats protection took over her care. People re-homed her to East London with her new owner Vicky who is the same age.
Flossie is partially sighted, completely deaf, and has only three teeth left. However, she has a very healthy appetite, she likes to be stroked, and she’s very friendly and inquisitive.
To beat the record for the oldest cat ever, Flossie still has years to go. Cream Puff reached 38 years old before she died in 2005.
